Grain of Salt - Mixed Culture Gose 3%
Gose (pronounced go-suh) is a sour wheat ale brewed with salt and coriander. Such was its popularity in the German town of Goslar and surrounding areas during the 1800s, that there were over 80 Gose taverns (Gosenschenkes in German) dedicated to serving it. By the 1900s, the style had lost its popularity and brewing ceased. Only recently has the style been resurrected. Grain of Salt is brewed in the traditional manner with a mixed culture including Lactobacillus souring bacteria and Brettanomyces yeast.
