Altbier is the traditional beer of Düsseldorf, Germany. Copper-amber in colour, it’s smooth, malty, and exceptionally well-balanced. Unlike typical ales, Altbier is fermented at cooler temperatures, giving it a cleaner, crisper finish. Though rarely found outside Düsseldorf, within the city’s pubs it remains the beer of choice, often the only one served.
